Accreditation Program Outline
To become a Level 1 Coach, there are two components to becoming fully qualified:
Step 1 - Qualify at an IHNSW Coach Level 1 Course. This is a practical course teaching both generic coaching principles and sport specific components of coaching. The course is run by an IHNSW accredited coach instructor, usually over a weekend or several weeknights. On successful completion of the course you are permitted to start coaching, receive an IHNSW Coach Level - I Certificate and be registered with the Australian Coaching Council. The IHNSW maintains a complete register of all IHNSW coaches and their particulars.
Step 2 - Complete 30 hours practical coaching. On completion of the 30 hours practical coaching, you will be endorsed as an "Active Coach" by your State Coaching Director. The 30 hours of practical coaching is required to rtaing accreditation and to be eligible for INHSW's Coach Level - II Program. For further information on the States's National Coaching Program, contact the Coaching Director or the National Coaching Director.
